Trial Nights
Trial nights are mandatory for any dog wanting to board with us. They are part of our license requirement, and we cannot accept any dog for boarding without a successful trial night.
Our Trial Night Process
The purpose of a trial night is to ensure that our environment is the perfect fit for your dog. Every dog is unique, with their own distinct needs, behaviours, quirks, and comfort levels. Above all else, your dog’s safety and comfort are our absolute number one priority.

During a trial session, we focus on a few key areas to observe how your dog settles in various situations.
-
Social Behaviour - Dogs must be friendly toward other dogs and display no signs of aggression.
-
Ability to Settle - It is essential that your dog is able to relax and settle in our home, particularly overnight.Â
-
Independence - Your dog must be comfortable with brief periods of quiet independence while we manage daily routines (feeding, check-ins and safety transitions) therefore our setting is not suitable for dogs with severe separation anxiety.
Â
We have carefully designed a calm, safe, and fun space for our guests. Our ultimate goal is for every dog to truly enjoy their time with us, completely free of stress. If a dog becomes highly anxious while you are away, it is unfair to them and can compromise the peaceful environment we maintain. Ensuring your dog meets these criteria is the best way to guarantee a successful trial night and a happy, safe stay.
